Story
In the year 20XX, the age of Atom, the 100,000-horsepower robot, has ended. Even more advanced humanoid robots now live under strict limits, forced into absolute obedience to humans.
In a back-alley warehouse, robots secretly gather for a hidden party. Among them is Tokio, a household robot working for former scientist Dr. Machiko Kagurazaka, and his best friend Azuri, a gentle nurse robot. Their songs give joy and hope to robots who live without freedom.
One day, three runaway human youths stumble in: Maria, who left home after conflict with her parents, and Take and Emi, who escaped a factory after stealing money from their harsh workplace. The songs of freedom sung by robots and humans begin to unite their hearts.
Maria and Azuri grow close, but their bond triggers tragedy. Former scientist Sura then incites others with a radical plan: “Let us revive Atom as a weapon of destruction.”
Will Atom be reborn? And what choice will Tokio make?
